The Oscar Nominations are in

Now I know what you’re thinking and I’m afraid the answer is no – Blammo favourite Pete Dash is not nominated again this year.  We’ll all be writing our words of dismay to the academy and I rather hope you all (yes all six readers) do so too.

This is quite a cool year for OSCARS thanks to them allowing more nominations in to the Best Movie category (so opportunity for less obvious choices turning up than in previous years) and the rather controversial addition of Katheryn Bigelow’s name in the Best Director category.  Yeah I know!  A woman!  Whatever next?!

Anyways I’m disappointed to say I’ve not seen half of these movies so will have to do some serious movie watching over the next few weeks to give myself soem actual angle for enjoyment otherwise on the night I’ll be all “come on Basterds” simply because I’ve seen it (though it really was brilliant), “Come on Bigelow” because she’s a woman or “come on avatar” because the 3D blew my freaking mind.
